Society of Editors (SA) is a branch of IPEd and the lead organisation for editors and editing in South Australia

On 1 July 2016 the Society of Editors (SA)  became a branch of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). Editors who were members of the Society of Editors (SA) at 1 July 2016 were able to transfer their membership to IPEd.

The new Society of Editors (SA) as a branch of IPEd will support editors in South Australia and continue to run activities for IPEd members such as regular meetings and professional development programs. The society will continue to host this branch website, produce a local newsletter and maintain current social media links. The society’s Editors Directory will also be maintained and will continue to link editors to potential employers or clients.
