About the workshop:

This workshop will cover:
  • the basic mechanics of good writing so that you can better identify which parts of a manuscript can be improved
  • the language of writing so that you can give constructive feedback to an author in a professional manner.

You will also learn about:
  • the components to address in your client pre-meetings
  • how to provide useful assessment reports.

The presenter:

Connie Berg is an experienced manuscript assessor. She also works with writers as a mentor, editor and publisher. She teaches in writing workshops, and is a writer herself. Many of her short stories, poems and articles have appeared in magazines, anthologies and newspapers.

Connie co-founded the Langhorne Creek Writers’ Festival and has been the festival organiser from its inception in 2013.

In 2014 she founded and is the publisher of Sunshine Press, a print-on-demand press, which has published nine titles.

Connie has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with members and we are delighted to have her lead this manuscript assessment workshop.
