The editing of migrant stories is fascinating but extremely demanding. Recently I have edited two migrant auto-biographies and short stories and poetry written by Dutch, German. Greek, Indian, Italian, Sudanese and Spanish people. (People can also be referred to colleagues throughout Australia for other languages and interest areas).

In-house:

Editing of general material and migrant stories. Excellent design skills to structure material in a responsive and sympathetic way.

Freelance:

20 years experience combining a small literary firm and freelance editing with university teaching.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (University of Adelaide), Diploma of Social Studies (University of Melbourne).

Special skills

Specialist in design and structural editing, cross-cultural communication and a successful writer, reviewer and public speaker. Skilled in research with some capacity in teaching editing and writing skills.
