Full membership of the Society is open to accredited editors and other editors engaged professionally in any aspect of editing for publication, full-time or part-time, or who has had such experience in the past. Associate membership is open to any interested person.
Membership subscriptions are $80 for full membership and $50 for associate membership. Rebates are available if you live more than 50 km from the Adelaide GPO or you are studying full-time in a recognised editing or related course.
Subscriptions are due at the beginning of the financial year (1 July). Members joining after 1 January pay half the annual subscription.
Editors applying for membership for the first time can download a membership form for new members as a Word document (see below). Complete the form electronically and send it to the membership secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org) as an email attachment.
Once your membership has been approved, the membership secretary will notify you. Once this occurs, please deposit the relevant fee directly to the society’s bank account:

Lodgement reference: your name and ‘memb fee’ or similar
Once you have done this, please email details of your payment and your name to the treasurer (SATreasurer@editors-sa.org.au). A tax invoice will be issued upon request.

Renewing members will receive an email reminder to renew their membership and need simply to pay their membership fee and notify the membership secretary and the treasurer.
