IPEd Council News

IPEd has a new CSE Councillor, Eris Harrison AE, who joined in September, and an alternate SA Councillor, Katy McDevitt AE, who joined in October.
Eris is a freelance editor with a background in the public service and with NGOs. She joined the CSE in 2008 and sat and passed the first accreditation exam. She has been Secretary of the CSE for two terms. Eris is also a playwright and author of the booklet, Forgotten Australians: Supporting survivors of childhood institutional care in Australia (2008, 2010, 2011).
Katy is presently Program Manager of AdelaideX, the online learning initiative of the University of Adelaide, which delivers Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Before this Katy worked as an editor and publishing consultant both as a freelancer and with higher education publishers in Australia and the UK. She has been a member of the Society of Editors (SA) since 2010 and was appointed President at the 2015 AGM. She became an accredited editor in 2012.
