‘Editing: fit for purpose’

13 to 15 September 2014
Royal Holloway, University of London

Book now before registration closes on 18 July

The publishing landscape is changing, driven by new technologies and globalisation. More and more editors and proofreaders are working for self-publishers and the business sector, and even long-established publishing houses are having to evolve. At this year’s conference, we will be exploring how all this affects us and discussing how we can ensure the services we offer are fit for purpose.

The pre-conference course, on 13 September, is Copy-editing 1: Introduction, aimed at anyone interested in learning the basics of copy-editing (visit www.sfep.org.uk/pub/train/courses.asp#ce1 for more details).

For more information about the conference program, visit sfep.org.uk/conf14 or email Christine Vaughan, conference director (conference@sfep.org.uk).

SfEP is pleased to offer members of the Australian societies of editors that make up IPEd a £35 discount on the resident non-member delegate rate of £510. If you would like to book a place, please email Christine Vaughan, the conference director (conference@sfep.org.uk), for a discount code.
