The Society of Editors (SA) promotes contact between members, and the exchange of ideas and information on professional matters. It also helps to establish and maintain high standards of editing and publishing through its meetings and newsletters, and through liaison with related organisations.

Workshops
We are running two professional development workshops for editors this year.
The first is Grammar, punctuation and all that jazz a workshop suitable for both beginners and working editors and the second is Annual reports and the meaning of life.
